Shivabalayogi’s devotees arrange for public programs to commemorate special occasions such as:

Mahashivaratri, the "Great Night of Shiva" on the moonless night of February or March, depending on the lunar cycle,

Swamiji’s Birthday on January 24,

Mahasamadhi, April 2, the date on which Shivabalayogi entered mahasamadhi,

Tapas Anniversary, August 7, the date on which Shivabalayogi completed twelve years of tapas, and

Parvatamma, August 15, the date Swamiji set aside to honor the mahasamadhi of his mother, Parvatamma Allaka garu.

More about these special public programs at FUNCTIONS.

These special functions are the opportunity for ashrams and devotees to prepare formal invitations which are mailed and e-mailed to all devotees.  These invitations have a long history that dates back to flyers originally prepared to advertise Shivabalayogi’s meditation and bhajan programs.  As the years and three decades of Swamiji’s travel throughout India, then Sri Lanka, the U.K., and the U.S.A., these invitations have become artistic expressions.

This collection of invitations on these web pages go back to when Shivabalayogi was first touring the United States and inviting devotees to attend the special functions at the Bangalore ashram.  The collection is organized on the following pages:
