Homa (or yagna) is a form of puja (worship) in which
offerings are made to the gods through the medium of sacred fire.
Shivabalayogi always had a homa performed at each major function -- including on
the annual occasions celebrating his birthday, tapas anniversary, and
Mahashivaratri. The practice is continued by devotees, not only in
Adivarapupeta, but in Bangalore and elsewhere.
To understand the blessings and spiritual power that are received through
homa (or any puja), one has to experience.
